Zoee's 3rd Birthday... part 2

Zoee's actual birthday fell on a Monday this year and since that is a somewhat difficult day to celebrate on because most people have work, we decided to have some friends over on Friday so she could celebrate with her friends. My goal was simple and relaxing and for the most part that was how it turned out. Zoee and the other kiddos got to bounce in the bouncy house and the adults got to catch up on life. Her theme was princess because she LOVES anything princess. I still cannot believe that she is 3 years old. She is still very much the "baby" in our family. She loves to be held and she loves to snuggle. She loves for us to sing songs to her and read her books. I am thankful that she isn't in a hurry to grow up. We really do try to cherish time with our kiddos because it really is going by so quickly. Here are some pictures from her birthday...

Zoee's 3rd Birthday... part 1

Oh where does the time go? I seriously cannot believe that Zoee is already 3! Even though she is THREE, she is still our little cuddle bug. Every single day she still cuddles with Sonny and I and asks to be held. She loves being around people and she loves hugs and kisses. I love that she is so affectionate. I think she is even more affectionate than I am- which is saying a lot! Zoee's birthday fell on a Monday so we decided that we would just celebrate as a family that morning then we would take Zoee and her best friend Kinley to get their nails done (this was Zoee's first time). When Zoee got up, we had a few small presents for her and some rock candy (she loves candy!). The playroom was filled with balloons which the kids LOVE and we just had a relaxing morning celebrating our little princess. Later, Zoee and I met our friends (Ms. Kristen and Kinley) at this cute little place that has all the glitz and glamor that little girls could imagine. There were sparkles everywhere and the girls got to eat suckers and cakepops while getting their toe nails painted. After that we headed to Chic-fil-a to meet up with Asher & Brooks, Nana & Kaitlyn (Asher was staying with Kaitlyn and Brooks so that he didn't have to go to the girly nail place!). Later that evening we went to have dinner with Mimi & Papa, Uncle Sean & Aunt Rachael and Aunt Rachel's family. We celebrated Zoee and Mimi's birthday with pizza and more sugar!! It was such a special day. I think Zoee really enjoyed it. We love our little princess so very much. She fills our home with so much joy, laughter, hugs, and silliness!

Halloween 2013

We are so thankful for our community group. In just a few short years we have gone from a group with 3 kids to a group with about 8 kids! Our group can get a little crazy with so many little ones running around but we love it! This Halloween we had the group come over and go trick or treating down our street. We had lots of desserts and candy- the kids were WILD!! It was a blast! Here are a few pictures...

The three amigos. These three love each other so much. Kinley is pretty much part of our family. She and Zoee love like sisters (and sometimes fight like sisters ;) ) We are so thankful for sweet KP! Kinley and Zoee were both fairies this year and Asher was a man of many talents! While we had all of the gear for him to be a cowboy, he decided at the last minute that he wanted to be a super hero with a dollar store machine gun!! Boys, huh? He wore his super hero cape all night and traded out different hats. At times he even wore some scary glow-in-the-dark vampire teeth! Crazy boy!!

Growing up too fast!!

Vampire super hero with a modern twist!

Little Sammy the lobster joined the party for a little bit...

The girls and their candy... mmm!

Titus the fox joined us for a little bit too. We love all these babies!

We are thankful for a great group of friends that love and encourage each other and we are all so thankful for the growing number of kids the Lord continues to give us =)

Sabbatical Part 2...

Our Sabbatical was absolutely wonderful. Along with getting to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we were able to spend a lot of time as a family investing into our kiddos. We were also able to read a lot and pray about the Lord's future plans for our family. Towards the end of the month we took the kids on a small trip to the hill country in Fredericksburg. We were blessed by a family at church with a 2 night stay in a bed & breakfast that was literally like living in a western movie. The couple who owned the b & b turned an old General Store and Silo into rooms where people could stay. The kids got to play on old wagons and even see some exotic animals (llamas and peacocks). We went for a little "Texas hike" that ended with about an hour of skipping rocks in a river and Zoee splashing like crazy in the shallow water. It was so nice for our family to get away together. We loved getting to read, relax, and enjoy our family.

Wagon fun in the wild west!

Surreal for sure!

Climbing the silo... a little dangerous but so much fun!

You can't have a vacation without oreos, right?

Oh, and before heading to the hill country, we were able to have an impromptu bow and arrow making session with Daddy. To say that the kids loved it is quite an understatement! Asher was actually pretty good at shooting it.
